So tonight we finished up coding the ArtIntEngine, or Artificial Intelligence Engine. This little piece of code is going to breathe life into the NPCs of Elemental Planes.
So tonight, though I have no screenshots to show for it (sorry... nothing pretty to look at this time), my main task was to try to add some brains to the back-end engine. We've been working mostly on player control and client type stuff lately, since making the move over to Unity 3D, so the back-end engine has sat mostly untouched for a few months.
From time to time, I get to take off my C++ and Lua hats and pick up a guitar. Here's a quick screenshot of a mix I've been working on for Elemental Planes. There's a long history of great music in video games, and we're trying to live up to that tradition with the sound track for EP. I'll post some audio here soon, but for now, gaze upon my mix-down of our current working theme.
